 OZIOMACHI FELICITATES WITH FAMILIES IN BENDE NORTH.

The International Day of Families, observed annually on May 15 by the United Nations, is a moment of reflection on the vital role families play in building peaceful, progressive, and morally sound societies. It is also a day to celebrate the enduring values of love, unity, sacrifice, and togetherness that bind humanity together across cultures and generations.

As we commemorate this important day, Hon. Ibekwe Nnamdi Chimdi, fondly known as OziomaChi, joins millions around the world in recognizing the family as the foundation upon which every successful community and nation is built. According to him, strong families produce responsible citizens, disciplined leaders, and compassionate societies, while the decline of family values often leads to social instability and moral decay.

Hon. Ibekwe noted that in our contemporary society, families continue to face numerous challenges ranging from economic hardship and insecurity to moral distractions and societal pressures. He emphasized the need for governments, community leaders, religious institutions, and stakeholders to continue implementing policies and initiatives that promote family unity, child welfare, parental responsibility, and social protection.

Speaking further, OziomaChi stressed that beyond material provisions, families must intentionally nurture love, discipline, mutual respect, and cultural values among children and youths. He maintained that the future of every society depends greatly on the quality of upbringing received at home.

The Bende North lawmaker also used the occasion to commend parents, guardians, and caregivers who continue to make sacrifices daily to ensure the growth and well-being of their families despite prevailing economic realities. He encouraged families to remain hopeful, united, prayerful, and resilient in the face of challenges.

Hon. Ibekwe Nnamdi Chimdi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and programmes that will improve the welfare of families, empower youths, promote education, and strengthen community development across Bende North and beyond.

He concluded by stating that as the representative of the good people of Bende North, he wishes all families in his constituency and beyond good health, long life, peace, unity, happiness, and prosperity.
