 OZIOMACHI CONGRATULATES ABIA STATE LABOUR PARTY NEW EXCO LED BY CHIEF PETER AZUBUIKE, AND COMMENDS DR. ALEX CHIOMA OTTI OFR.

Hon. Ibekwe Nnamdi Chimdi, popularly known as OziomaChi, has formally congratulated the newly elected State Executive Committee of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State, following the successful leadership transition that saw the emergence of Chief Peter Azubuike as the new State Chairman.


In a press statement released on Sunday, Hon. Ibekwe described the election of the new Exco as a testament to the party's internal cohesion and its readiness to further the development of the state.


A significant portion of the statement was dedicated to the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR. Hon. Ibekwe commended the Governor for his "sterling leadership qualities," noting that his administration has successfully navigated complex state and party affairs despite numerous challenges.


"Dr. Alex Otti has shown exceptional resilience and vision in steering both the party and the state," Ibekwe stated. "His ability to maintain focus on infrastructure, civil service reform, and economic growth, even in the midst of political and economic headwinds, is a source of inspiration for all party members."



Extending his goodwill to the new leadership, OziomaChi expressed confidence in Chief Peter Azubuike’s capacity to lead the party to new heights. He urged the new executive committee to prioritize:


* Inclusivity: Ensuring that every member of the Labour Party has a voice in the state's political future.


* Consolidation: Building upon the successes of the Governor to strengthen the party's presence at the grassroots.


* Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand with the state government to ensure the "New Abia" vision remains on track.


Hon. Ibekwe concluded by calling for total support from all stakeholders for both the new Exco and the Governor. He emphasized that the unity of the Labour Party is essential for the continued transformation of Abia State.


"We stand at a pivotal moment in our history," the statement noted. "With the visionary leadership of Dr. Alex Otti and the administrative drive of Chief Peter Azubuike, the Labour Party in Abia is more prepared than ever to serve the interests of the people."
