CULTURAL CONFERENCE 2025: IGBO NATIONAL COUNCIL DELEGATION VISITS MAYOR OF OBINGWA LGA.

In continuation of the sensitization and mobilization visits geared towards the success of the forthcoming Igbo National Council Cultural Conference, a powerful delegation of the Council, ably led by the indefatigable Chairman of the Abia State Chapter, Mazi Stanley Chima, Ph.D, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Maxwell Nwadike, the Mayor of Obingwa Local Government Area, on Thursday, 18th September, 2025.


The visit formed part of the ongoing strategic engagements with critical stakeholders across Abia State, designed to ensure wide awareness, strong mobilization, and robust participation in the landmark cultural event scheduled to hold on the 27th of September, 2025 at Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, formerly Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.


Speaking during the visit, Mazi Stanley Chima, Ph.D, reiterated the vision and mission of the Council in organizing the Cultural Conference. He stressed that the program seeks to promote cultural identity, unity, and heritage preservation while also fostering dialogue on peace, progress, and socio-economic development in Igbo land. He further noted that the active involvement of leaders like Mayor Nwadike is vital to achieving the Council’s objectives.


In his remarks, Hon. Maxwell Nwadike commended the Igbo National Council for their foresight and commitment to cultural revival. He described the initiative as timely and crucial, particularly at a time when younger generations need greater awareness of the richness of Igbo heritage. The Mayor assured the delegation of his unwavering support and promised to rally stakeholders within Obingwa Local Government to actively participate in the forthcoming conference.


The visit was marked by mutual expressions of solidarity and commitment to making the 2025 Cultural Conference not only a success but also a defining moment in the cultural history of Abia State.


As the mobilization campaign gathers momentum, it is clear that the Igbo National Council Cultural Conference 2025 will stand as a beacon of unity, pride, and cultural renaissance for Ndi Igbo.
