A high-powered delegation, led by the State Chairman, Mazi Stanley Chima, Ph.D, on Tuesday, paid courtesy visits to Hon. Ken Onyekachi Okwuonu and the Chairman of Aba North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Timothy Kalu Iheke. The visits were part of the broader awareness creation and mobilization drive aimed at ensuring massive participation and support for the historic cultural event.
During the interaction, Mazi Stanley Chima underscored the significance of the forthcoming Cultural Conference, emphasizing its role in promoting unity, preserving heritage, and showcasing the rich cultural identity of the people of Abia State and beyond. He noted that the choice of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic as the venue was deliberate, given its centrality and accessibility, making it a befitting host ground for such a grand gathering.
In their separate responses, both Hon. Okwuonu and Hon. Chief Iheke commended the delegation for their commitment to the cultural renaissance and pledged their full support towards the success of the program. They acknowledged the importance of cultural reawakening in fostering peace, mutual understanding, and socio-economic development, while assuring the organizers of their active involvement in mobilizing grassroots participation.
The forthcoming conference, expected to attract dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and stakeholders from across Abia State and Nigeria at large, is projected to be one of the most impactful cultural assemblies in recent years. It will serve as a platform to not only celebrate tradition but also stimulate dialogue on cultural preservation and development.
With the momentum of the mobilization drive gathering pace, it is evident that the September 27th conference will mark a milestone in cultural unity and progress for Abia State.
